Why We Do Not Store Your Customer Data

Ziikly was built around a deliberately unusual choice: it stores none of your customer data. When you search an email, the customer profile is assembled live from your connected tools in that moment, and when the screen closes the assembled result is gone. What Ziikly does keep is your org and connection configuration, including the encrypted keys that let it reach your tools. That is a small, static set of settings rather than a growing copy of your business. This page explains the federated model in plain words, what a breach would actually expose, and the honest trade offs of storing nothing.

The Federated Model In Plain Words

Federated means the data stays where it already lives. Your payments stay in Stripe, your tickets stay in your helpdesk and your orders stay in your store. Ziikly does not pull a copy of all of it into its own database; instead, at the moment of a search, it asks each connected tool for what it holds about one customer and joins the answers into a single profile.

You can see the difference in the response time and in what a lookup needs. Because the answers are fetched on demand, the profile always reflects the live state of your tools, not a snapshot from last night. Nothing about your customers accumulates inside Ziikly between searches, so there is no growing repository to manage, secure or keep in sync.

What A Breach Would Actually Expose

No system is worth pretending is unhackable, so it matters what an attacker would find. Because Ziikly stores no customer data, the only customer information inside it appears briefly during a search and is not written to disk for later reading. An attacker gaining access would not find a database of customers to copy.

What a breach could expose is your org and connection configuration, including the encrypted keys used to reach your tools. That is why keys are encrypted, scoped read-only and revocable in one click. If a key were ever leaked, it could read what the scopes allow until you revoke it, which is why rotating and revoking matters more than hoping nothing is ever found.

Trade Offs Of Storing Nothing

Storing nothing has real advantages, and it is fair to name the trade offs too. The advantage is simple: there is no central customer database for a breach to leak, nothing to migrate, and no stale copy that quietly disagrees with your live tools. The profile you see is the profile your tools actually hold right now.

The trade off is that Ziikly cannot do things that depend on history it never kept. It cannot build a warehouse of every transaction you ever made, run analytics across years of data or serve offline reports from a local snapshot. If those matter to you, a tool that stores data is the right choice, and Ziikly is deliberately not competing with it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Any Data Cached At All?

Ziikly keeps your org and connection configuration, including encrypted keys, so that connections persist between visits. Customer data fetched during a search is not stored, so nothing about your customers remains after the search ends. Query results are assembled live each time.

How Do I Remove My Data From Ziikly?

Remove the connections from the integrations panel and delete the keys in each source tool. Because Ziikly stores no customer data, there is no customer record to purge; removing the connection configuration is all that is left, and it is gone immediately.

See it on your own customers

Connect your tools with read-only keys and search a real customer in minutes. Ziikly is free for everyone right now.
